BIOGRAPHY: PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL RECORDS OF RUMPT WERE LOST DURING THE 80-YEAR WAR (1568-1648) BETWEEN TEH LOW LANDS AND SPAIN.
1576 -- Beleend met land onder Beesd Hubert Jans, erve zijner moeder Elisabet van Beest getrout geweest met Johan Gerits; hulder was Dirck de Ghier zijn bestevader (Zie note 83) (Leenakten kwartier van Nijmegen, blz. 775).
9-12-1600 -- Comp. Jan Hanricks van Tefelen, oud burgemeester van Zaltbommel (Loofsignaat Zuilichem).
24-7-1628 -- Beleend met de Roomsche Camp te Renoy Thoniske Pouwels, wed. Jan Florisz. schout tot Rumpt, krachtens dispositie van haar broer Hubert Jans (Leenakten kwartier van Nijmegen, Renoy).
13-5-1641 De kinderen van Jan Florisz (Note 84), verwekt bij Anthonia Pauwels, erfgenamen van wijlen Dirk de Gier, burgemeester van Zaltbommel, vanwege hun moederlijke bestemoeder Heylke de Gier geven volmacht aan Cornelis van Oversteegh. (Dingsignaat Deil).
Note 83: Deze ,,bestevaer” was dus de stiefgrootvader, immers de vader van Huberts stiefmoeder Heyltje de Gier
Note 84: Zijn nakomelingschap is beschreven in ,,Gelre” 1941. ,,Het huis de Leegpoel naar aanleiding van een overdracht in 1728” blz. 138. In aanvulling daarop diene, dat ,,de Leegpoel” ook reeds in het bezit geweest was van zijn voorgeslacht. Immers de vader van den schout Jan Florisz, Floris Claes, in 1583 schout van Rumpt, was zoon van Claes Floriez en Willemsdr Hol, die met ,,de Leegpoel” beleend werden 10-10-1529. Zie voormeld opstel in ,,Gelre” blz. 132.
