Angel Glacier, Mount Edith Cavell, Jasper National Park, Alberta
29 km south of Jasper. From the parking area it is a very nice hike to the foot of Mount Edith Cavell with on your right Angel Glacier high against the mountain. There are several picnic spots close to the parking area. Dress for the mountains as the weather can change from warm and sunny into cold and rainy/snowy within 15 minutes.
Sunwapta Falls, Jasper National Park, Alberta
We have seen it many times, but it remains breath taking.

Prairie Smoke (Geum triflorum); Rosaceae family;
We found this 16" (40 cm) high plants with ½" (1.3 cm) long flowers in Kananaskis Country, Alberta, at a picnic area along the Highwood River. After fertilization, the bell-like flowers turn upward and plumes begin to grow which helps in the dispersement of the seeds.
